HAMPTON, Va. (WVEC) -- Three people were taken to the hospital after a fire in Hampton on March 21.
According to dispatch, they were alerted to the fire around 7:45 at a townhouse located on the 10 block of Hollis Wood Road.
Three people were taken to a trauma center. On March 26, officials said one person has been released from the hospital. The other two remain hospitalized, one person is in critical condition and the other is in stable condition.
A spokesperson for the Hampton Fire Department released the following video statement:
The cause of the fire has been determined accidental, caused by smoking material. The home is inhabitable but to the extent of the damages.
