VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- Fire investigators said a woman faces felony charges after she walked into a convenience store and claimed to have a bomb.
The Virginia Beach Fire Department said 33-year-old Crystal Mostek entered the 7-Eleven on Pleasure House Road around 8:30 Tuesday night, placed a device on the counter, and told the clerk it was a bomb. She then threatened to blow up the store.
Officials later determined the device was not a bomb.
Mostek was booked into the Virginia Beach Correctional Center. Investigators have not released a motive for the hoax.
