NORFOLK, Va. (WVEC) -- The Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer USS Laboon (DDG 58) is returning to Norfolk, days after its sister ship the USS Cole had its own homecoming at Naval Station Norfolk.
The Laboon deployed back in January as part of the George H.W. Bush Carrier Strike group. While overseas, the Laboon worked in the U.S. 5th and 6th Fleet areas of operation.
The ship will return to its Norfolk homeport on Thursday, July 20.
