CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WVEC) -- Firefighters were alerted to a brush fire after nearby residents heard a loud explosion.
On Monday, crews extinguished a fire at the 900 block of Michael Drive in Deep Creek around 2 p.m.
A lot of smoke led firefighters to the location of the fire which burned about 1 acre or brush.
The fire was brought under control before any structures were threatened.
The cause of the fire and the loud explosion is currently under investigation.
