Coast Guard assists disabled sailboat in Chesapeake Bay

The crew towed the sailboat into the Cape Charles Harbor.

PORTSMOUTH, Va. — The Coast Guard assisted two people after their 42-foot sailboat became disabled in the Chesapeake Bay shipping channel Sunday.

The Coast Guard Sector Hampton Roads received the report from Tow Boat U.S., and launched a 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew from Coast Guard Station Cape Charles to assist.

The crew towed the sailboat into the Cape Charles Harbor.
