ISLE OF WIGHT COUNTY, Va. (WVEC) — Isle of Wight County Sheriff's Office and Virginia State Police K9 teams have captured a wanted man Sunday.
Around 12:15 p.m., Jeremiah Corbin, 33, was apprehended in an wooded area off Nike Park Road in Carrollton, Lt. Tommy Potter with Isle of Wight County Sheriff's Office said.

Traffic stop leads to assault
Around 11:15 p.m. Saturday, an Isle of Wight County Sheriff's deputy conducted a traffic stop in Carrollton, Potter said.
When the vehicle was pulled over, the driver got out, assaulted the deputy and fled into nearby woods.
Around 7:30 a.m. Sunday, a man was seen coming out of the woods off Brewers Neck Boulevard.
This led the sheriff's office, along with Virginia State Police to bring K9 search teams to conduct a search.
There was also a passenger in the vehicle, but that person is cooperating.
