RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Authorities say two people were injured in a helicopter accident at a North Carolina Highway Patrol facility.
News outlets showed footage of a damaged helicopter on its side near hangars at a state patrol training facility in Raleigh.
In a brief interview with The Associated Press, Highway Patrol First Sgt. Mike Baker said two people aboard the helicopter were injured in Tuesday's accident. One was treated at the scene and the other was taken to a hospital.
Baker declined further comment, saying he would issue a statement later.
News footage showed the helicopter being blasted with water by firefighters.
