FOUND: Deputies found missing 13-year-old girl from Currituck County in Georgia

The Currituck County Sheriff's Office said with assistance from the FBI and the SBI, they found 13-year-old Faith Pellini in Georgia.

CURRITUCK COUNTY, N.C. — UPDATE: Deputies found the missing 13-year-old girl from Currituck County.

The Currituck County Sheriff's Office said with assistance from the FBI and the SBI, 13-year-old Faith Pellini was found. Faith was found at a home in Spalding County, Georgia, on December 30, 2019, at approximately 4:30 p.m.

Officials said Faith is safe with law enforcement officers and physically appears to be in good health, she will be reunited with her family and evaluated by medical professionals.

"We have been working non-stop over the past 48 hours to find Faith. I cannot put into words what it means to be able to bring her home safely. Our law enforcement partners immediately responded to help us and our community has been a key part of this investigative team. Because of their tireless work, Faith will start the new year off where she belongs, at home with her loving family," Currituck County Sheriff Matt Beickert said.

In order to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation, the Currituck County Sheriff's Office will not go into specifics about how Faith was located.

At this time, Faith's family asks for privacy as the welcome home their precious daughter. Additional updates will be provided when appropriate.

Faith was last seen on Saturday walking on Tullis Creek Road.
