PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WVEC) — A Portsmouth firefighter is recovering after being hurt while responding to an abandoned house fire.
Crews were called to the scene on Sugar Creek Circle just after midnight Sunday morning. We're told they got the flames under control quickly, but one firefighter did have to go to the hospital for minor injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
