NORFOLK, Va. — Police are investigating a deadly crash involving a pedestrian Sunday night.
The crash happened in the 500 block of N. Military Highway around 9 p.m., according to the Norfolk Police Department.
That's near Military Circle Mall and the intersection of Poplar Hall Drive.
A woman, 58-year-old Sharon Shields, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The police department said the driver involved in the crash stayed at the scene when officer arrived. Investigators don't think speed or alcohol played into the crash.
On Wednesday, NPD's Traffic Fatality Unit was still investigating the incident.
