Hampton Sheriff's Office deputies will fingerprint and photograph hundreds of children at its annual Child ID Fest on Saturday.
The photo and fingerprints are helpful for parents and law enforcement to identify a child in an emergency, the sheriff's office said.
The fest will also feature music, games and food for the family.
The event is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Carousel Park, 602 Settlers Landing Road.
There will also be a gun safety information kiosk and free gunlocks for parents.
The event is free and open to the public.
