CHESAPEAKE, Va. — Four adults and two children are displaced after a fire damaged their home in the South Norfolk section of Chesapeake.
Emergency responders were alerted to the fire in the 2600 block of Cayce Drive around 3:30 p.m.
Arriving firefighters found heavy smoke and fire coming from the single-story residence.
The fire was pushing through the roof and started to extend to a neighboring home.
The house sustained heavy fire damage, with the neighboring house sustaining moderate exterior damage.
Firefighters brough the blaze under control at 5:17 p.m.
Officials said there are no injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
