CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WVEC) -- Five adults and six children were displaced after a fire broke out in a Chesapeake apartment building on Thursday.
Firefighters were called to the 4000 block of Foxglove Court around 6 p.m. Once on the scene, officials found heavy smoke coming from the two-story, multi-family home.
Three units were seriously damaged from the fire. Crews were able to extinguish the fire by 7 p.m.
The affected residents are being assisted by the American Red Cross. No one was injured, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
