VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WVEC) -- What's better than finding a colony of baby turtles on the beach? When we have the answer, we'll let you know.
A group of lucky students on an educational field trip at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation's Brock Environmental Center found more than a dozen baby turtles Tuesday.
The students did release the baby terrapins at the shoreline.
The Chesapeake Bay Foundation posted video of the turtles on their Facebook page, which has garnered thousands of views.
Staffers with the foundation tell us that there's still room for teachers to sign up their classes for students to go on field investigations this spring. You can click here for more information.
